Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Her modelling career began in Italy, where she was raised before being was born in California. Her acting debut came at the age of 16 in her debut in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller character. This was not easy for Amy since she needed change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't considered great actors, so they usually get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger roles beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy then moved into leading parts in 2005's love story Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she had been chasing more than a decade. Amy continued to make significant films like the Crank series with Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was the well-loved character of recurring.
