Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up with 12 other children. The vivid imagination of her mother helped her escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. Before she was able to read and write she was making up the songs she wrote herself. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), reached the No. number 1 position after the duo split. In 1974, Parton's song I Will Always Love You reached No.
